Our Sanctuary Grounds

We Really Did Try to Think of Everything...

We really did try to think of everything when it came to creating the sanctuary neighborhood. Our goal was to provide a tranquil, peaceful but still vibrant campus that would meet all the needs and wants of our residents. We also wanted to be as self-sufficient and responsible as possible by using solar power where we could, composting stations, recycling containers, and more.

ADA Compliant Community

Our neighborhood is committed to inclusivity and accessibility, with all buildings designed and maintained to be fully ADA compliant. This means entrances, pathways, and common areas are accessible to people of all abilities, including those who use wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids. Features such as ramps, elevators, accessible restrooms, and clear signage ensure that everyone can move through the community safely and comfortably.

Onsite Farmer's Market

Our residents will be able to shop a selection of seasonal produce, baked goods, and other locally made items without leaving the sanctuary. It’s a great way to support local farmers and vendors while making healthy choices more convenient. Residents will also be able to sell their own wares helping to keep them active and have a little pocket money.

Raised Bed
Gardening

Our raised bed gardens bring color, life, and connection to our senior sanctuary. Designed for easy access, they allow residents to enjoy planting, tending, and harvesting without the strain of traditional gardening. These shared garden spaces encourage time outdoors, gentle physical activity, and meaningful social interaction, while fostering a sense of purpose and pride as residents watch their plants grow and thrive together.

Gated Community with Security Cameras

Our community is a gated community with controlled access and security cameras in common areas and at entrances. These measures help enhance safety and provide residents with added peace of mind.

Creative Spaces

Have a passion for pottery?  Love to paint? Did you teach piano or guitar?  Our sanctuary provides creative spaces for you to continue that passion and also to teach others your craft through classes offered both to our residents and the community.

Home Available for Guests

We will have a home on site that can be rented weekly by our residents' friends and family. It will be offered at an affordable rate so when people come from out of town to see our residents, they don't need to travel or stay outside of the community. The funds from this rental will be used to help with upkeep of the property.

Fenced-In
Dog Park

A dog park in our senior community would provide a safe place for residents to exercise their dogs, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with neighbors. It encourages light activity, companionship, and a stronger sense of community through shared time with pets. And of course, your dogs will love the exercise and social time as well!

Recreation Center with Movie Theatre

A Recreation Center with a movie theatre gives senior residents a simple, enjoyable way to relax and socialize. It creates a comfortable gathering place that supports connection, entertainment, and well-being. It can be rented for special occasions like anniversary parties, birthdays, holiday celebrations and more.

Fitness Center with Class Spaces

Having a fitness center right here in our senior community makes it easy and enjoyable to stay active every day. Whether it’s a gentle stretch, light strength training, or a refreshing walk on the treadmill, our fitness center offers a welcoming space to move at your own pace, boost energy, and support overall wellness—without ever leaving home. We will also invite local fitness teachers and holistic services to hold classes in the facility.

Memorial Flower Gardens with Meditation Paths

Our memorial flower gardens with meditation paths provide a serene outdoor retreat, featuring gentle walking paths, vibrant blooms, and quiet spaces for reflection, relaxation, and peaceful moments in nature. This will also be where we place memorial stones, trees, and flowers to remember our departed friends and pets.

Chicken Coops for Organic Eggs

Chicken coops at our senior community provide residents with fresh, healthy eggs raised right on site. The eggs are a nutritious, natural food option, and caring for the chickens promotes wellness, connection, and a shared sense of pride. They will be available in our Farmer's Market storefront.

Bee Hive for
Organic Honey

Having a beehive in our community supports pollinators, helps local plants grow, and encourages environmental awareness. It’s a simple way to care for nature while strengthening our shared sense of responsibility. We will harvest the honey and have it for sale in our on-site farmer’s market for residents and locals to purchase!
